Big data shift impact assessment report

Deliverable:
D1.11

The report explains CANDELA impact assessment on business thanks to big data shifts. The CANDELA project objective is to bridge the gap between big data technology and the Earth Observation data user community. During the project, our consortium integrates already existing building blocks into a homogeneous, powerful, and operational platform which enables users to quickly use, manipulate, explore, and process Copernicus data.

DataCube Integration Report v2

Deliverable:
D1.10

This document is the continuation of the deliverable D1.9 which was a first version of Datacube integration report. In D1.10, we answer to the comments and questions raised by the previous version of this work and present the result of our research on data cube technologies. This deliverable starts by presenting the concept of data cubes as one solution for accessing earth observation data. In a second part, CANDELA partners from WP1 and WP2 express their needs and expectation in term of data access.

DataCube Integration Report v1

Deliverable:
D1.9

The main objective of the datacube integration report is to provide insight on the specific domain of earth observation datacubes to wisely choose the path to follow on the CANDELA platform regarding this matter.
This document presents a comprehensive explanation of the concept of earth observation datacube, starting with the rationale behind its utilisation, following with the capabilities offered to interact with it and in the end listing the ways such a system can be used.

Forest Use Case Validation Report v2

Deliverable:
D1.8

This deliverable is the final version of the validation work of CANDELA Platform. The document describes the process and results of testing the following tools: Optical Change Detection, SAR Change Detection, Data Mining and Data Fusion and Semantic Search. The platform and the tools and libraries available in it have also been tested. The validation process was based on a general check of the tools functionality and a summary of the requirements in the traceability matrix.

Agriculture Use Case Validation Report v2

Deliverable:
D1.7

This document presents the final validation results using the CANDELA platform and its analytics tools. The conducted validation is divided into two main parts. The first one is a unitary validation where the user requirements reported in the traceability matrix [4] are tested. This unitary validation uses the Qase tool explained in D1.3. The four platform components are tested, namely, the platform itself, the optical change detection tool, the synthetic aperture radar change detection tool, the data mining and data fusion tool as well as the semantic search.

Forest Use Case Requirements v2

Deliverable:
D1.6

D1.6 has been extended and it is resubmitted taking into account comments from the last project review report and that some requirements were changed or reformulated to adapt to technical capabilities during the development process. The content of the specific requirements has been adapted to better respond to user needs and at the same time be feasible by WP2 (analytic tools), and according to the project traceability matrix.

Agriculture Use Case Requirements v2

Deliverable:
D1.5

Throughout this document, the two sub-use cases are shortly described along with the workflows required to implement them and the generic user requirements for each sub-use case. In a second step, the requirements that have been raised after the first phase of validation are summarized. For the ease of exposure, these requirements are divided into three main components. The first component is associated with the data requirements in which the data sources required for the two sub-use cases are described.

Forest Use Case Validation Report v1

Deliverable:
D1.4

This document aims at reporting the results obtained during the first phase of validation using the CANDELA platform and its analytics tools. Although the two project use cases were expected to be reported in different documents (D1.3 and D1.4), after the review meeting it was decided to produce only one report. As a result, this deliverable (D1.3) includes the validation reports of Use Case #1 and Use Case #2 (initially planned in D1.4).

Agriculture Use Case Validation Report v1

Deliverable:
D1.3

This document aims at reporting the results obtained during the first phase of validation using the CANDELA platform and its analytics tools. Although the two project use cases were expected to be reported in different documents (D1.3 and D1.4), after the review meeting it was decided to produce only one report. As a result, this deliverable (D1.3) includes the validation reports of Use Case #1 and Use Case #2 (initially planned in D1.4).

Forest Use Case Requirements v1

Deliverable:
D1.2

This document describes a use case that makes use of machine learning techniques along with various remote sensing data sources to detect changes in land cover for Forest Health Monitoring.
The objective of this use case is to demonstrate the capacity of remote sensing in extracting adequate information that can be used for purposes of research such as:
